Jim Irvine is the founder and President of FlyAshDirect. Jim is a graduate of Ohio University with a BBA in Marketing. Jim’s CCP marketing career began in 1989 when he co-founded Irvine Fly Ash with his father. Irvine Fly Ash, based in Cincinnati, Ohio, successfully developed markets for CCP’s throughout Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Illinois, and Missouri. Irvine Fly Ash was sold to Koch Industries in 1997. Jim’s vision for FlyAshDirect is a by-product of extensive industry experience as an owner/operator and as an employee of the acquiring entities that experimented with various marketing strategies.
Mike Hardig is the Vice President of FlyAshDirect. Mike holds an undergraduate degree at the University of Cincinnati and an MBA from Xavier University. Mike worked for CSX Transportation between 1980-1983 as a Regional Sales Manager. Mike then joined the United Coal Company between 1983-1997 as Vice President of Domestic Sales. Mike founded Blackstone Resources in 1997 which brokers coal to the U.S. utility industry and other Industrial markets. Mike’s unique background in the transportation industry and coal trading industry make him a valuable asset to FlyAshDirect.
Scott Keith is the Operations Manager for FlyAshDirect. Scott supervises and coordinates all day to day company activities and maintains contact with key plant personnel regarding inventory levels and ash quality. Scott stays in constant contact with customers and provides daily reporting status of sales progress and guidance to the sales team, as well as plays a key role in coordinating and marketing fly ash for use on bulk jobs such as State DOT projects and airports. Scott is a graduate of Xavier University with a BBA in Finance and is ACI Level One certified.
Jeff Chambers is the Director of Field Operations for FlyAshDirect. In addition to his role in the continued development and advancement of FlyAshDirect’s Carbon Blocker treatment process in emerging markets, Jeff draws on his diverse technical and management experience to successfully manage and supervise field operations, and to coordinate, supervise and track multiple field projects from start up to completion. Jeff’s focus on innovation, quality assurance, keeping schedule commitments, and client satisfaction has furthered FlyAshDirect’s reputation as a premiere innovator in emerging coal combustion byproduct technologies.
Carl Howard is the Quality Control/Technical Services Director for FlyAshDirect, and plays a key role in coordinating the proper use and expansion of FlyAshDirect’s Carbon Blocker chemical treatment system. Carl has extensive experience with several local concrete producers in Quality Control and is also an ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I.
Judy Cooper is the Quality Control/Lab Technician for FlyAshDirect. In addition to her quality control and chemical analysis/lab testing duties, Judy also draws on over 15 years of on-site experience at power plants to offer assistance and training to current on-site employees.
Lee Irvine is the Sales Manager of FlyAshDirect. Lee co-founded Irvine Fly Ash with Jim Irvine. He is a graduate of Bethany College with a degree in Business Administration. Lee has extensive experience in the industry, having worked as a cement salesman for Universal Atlas Cement Company and in concrete sales for Plainville Concrete located in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Mike Owens is a Sales Representative for FlyAshDirect, focusing on ready mix concrete producers in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. Mike graduated from Xavier University with a BBA in Marketing and has over 25 years experience in sales and sales management. Mike is also ACI Level One certified.
Doug Burry is the Northeast Ohio Sales Representative for FlyAshDirect. A recent addition to FlyAshDirect, Doug brings twenty years of sales experience to our team. The past eight years have been in the concrete industry selling lightweight aggregate with the Garick Corporation, and Segmental Retaining Wall systems with Oldcastle APG. Doug is a 1988 graduate of Miami University with a BA in Geology, and lives in Lakewood, OH with his wife and three children.
PDG Enterprise, Inc., whose offices are located in Westerville, OH, represents FlyAshDirect in Central Ohio. Phil Goff has operated PDG Enterprise as a Manufacturerís Representative for chemical and mineral admixtures since 1992. Phil founded his own chemical admixture company, Conco Corporation, prior to serving as Admixture Division Manager for Sika Corporation. Myles Nelson has worked for and with Phil in these businesses for the past 35 years. Myles has a MS degree from Penn State University, a BS degree from Wheaton College and is ACI Level One certified.
Connie Palmer is the Office Manager/Full Charge Bookkeeper for FlyAshDirect. Connie previously served as the bookkeeper for Irvine Fly Ash until 1998 and returned in 2002 to maintain all accounting functions for FlyAshDirect. Connie is a member of the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers.
