FlyAshDirect creates by-product utilization opportunities for the power generation industry, specifically involving coal combustion materials known as CCP’s. CCP’s include fly ash, bottom ash, boiler slag and flue gas desulphurization materials. In 2003, in excess of 120 million tons of CCP’s were produced in the United States by over 600 coal fired power plants. Only 35% of CCP’s are beneficially utilized leaving approximately 78 million tons which require traditional solid waste disposal.
It is estimated that CCP production will increase in the future due to the abundance of coal and continued reliance on coal as a primary fuel in power generation. CCP’s are the fourth largest mineral resource produced in the United States.
Our services are designed to transform CCP’s into revenue producing assets. FlyAshDirect accomplishes this objective by providing custom marketing services required by regulators, contractors, engineers and manufacturers of construction products and services. FlyAshDirect works on behalf of its utility clients to promote the use of CCP’s as beneficial construction materials.
